Free Spins Can Change the Reels Without Changing the Entry Cost
A free-spin round normally does not charge the base stake again. That does not make access costless, and it does not tell you which reel set or award rules are active.

Only when the rules say they do. A multiplier may apply to every qualifying award, one symbol, one reel, the current spin or a running feature total.
Read the scope as carefully as the value. “Up to 10x” does not mean every award is multiplied by ten. It may describe the top of a ladder that starts lower, depends on collected symbols or resets when the feature ends.
